Join us Tuesday from Fredericksburg on Facebook LIVE!

Facebook Live from FredericksburgEmerging Civil War is helping to commemorate the 155th anniversary of the battle of Fredericksburg with a special two-day Facebook LIVE event from the battlefield. We’re teaming up with the Civil War Trust and the National Park Service to bring you two exciting days, live from the field, with the world’s foremost experts on the battle.

We’re looking for your questions and observations about the battle, so let us know: What do you want to know about the battle of Fredericksburg?

Our coverage kicks off Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. at Chatham Manor, where we’ll discuss the overall campaign.

Later in the morning, we’ll cover one of the river crossings and talk about the street fighting in downtown Fredericksburg. We’ll do a walking/driving tour through the city, and we’ll cap off the day with a few surprises.

Then, on Wednesday, we have another full day of activities from some of the most iconic locations on the battlefield, including access to behind-the-scenes locations not usually open to the public. Tune in tomorrow evening for details on the day’s line-up.

We’ll have historians from the Civil War Trust, the National Park Service, and Emerging Civil War all on hand to talk about the action, the personalities, the misconceptions, and the fallout. Expect to spend some time with Garry Adelman, Dan Davis, Chris Mackowski, Frank O’Reilly, Beth Parnicza, Donald Pfanz, Kristopher D. White, and more!

Plus, Wayne Motts, director of the National Civil War Museum in Harrisburg, PA, will be on hand with authentic articles from the battle.

No matter where you are, you can tune in via Facebook and join us LIVE!
